Accommodation for the RTE program will vary depending on enrollment sizes, but generally, it will be in hostel-like accommodation around Wanaka with shared bedrooms and bathrooms, and communal living and dining spaces.

Facilities will include free WiFi, laundry facilities, fully equipped kitchens, and outdoor gear available for attendees' use (including mountain bikes, kayaks, climbing gear, etc.).

Staying in shared accommodation serves two main purposes at RTE: it keeps our costs (and your tuition fees) down, and it fosters community, which is integral to our program.

During our wilderness trips, accommodations will vary between tents, huts, or remote lodges. All necessary equipment, such as tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, and cooking gear, will be provided for these trips.

Food

Due to the variety of dietary preferences and concerns among our attendees, RTE will not provide daily meals. However, we plan to have regular Sunday dinners together when possible, and RTE will supply the food for these gatherings.

Attendees will have opportunities to shop for their own food at local supermarkets, with transportation provided several times a week for this purpose.

Kitchens, cooking equipment, fridges and storage space will be provided with the accommodation. Attendees are welcome to cook together, share food and enjoy the communal life around meals.
